Decra® Roofing Systems was the main attraction at the Build Expo exhibition in Kigali, Rwanda last week. For the first time ever, Genuine Decra® Roofing tiles were available to view at the famous Kigali Convention Centre, and drew huge crowds as construction specialist from all over the region came to see this innovative new material. Although Decra® is the original stone coated roofing tile, having been invented in 1957, Rwandans have previously only seen fake and copy tiles, remarking to Decra® Africa Marketing Manager Simon Pogson, how they’ve all faded and changed colour. Simon was delighted to be able to explain the many differences between Genuine Decra® and other stone coated tiles with most visitors to the stand being incredibly impressed by our 50 year warranty and superior quality.
Of particular interest to our guests were the effectiveness of Decra® tiles to reduce the noise of rainfall, the opportunity to reduce build costs due to the lightweight nature of the tile, and our brand new tile profile; Slate.
With such high demand, it’s no surprise that Decra® Roofing Systems received many offers during the week for Distribution in Rwanda and we aim to make an announcement soon revealing our new partner for the region. In the meantime, enquiries for Decra in Rwanda can be made here.
